Leading up to the 11 a.m. hour Saturday on Remembrance Day, Northumberland 89.7 spoke with 31-year Canadian military veteran and Grafton native Mark Nasmith who retired in September.

In the interview, Nasmith reflects on his beginnings with the 598 Sabre Squadron Royal Canadian Air Cadets program in Cobourg and completing his education at Royal Roads Military College in Victoria, BC and at Royal Military College in Kingston, ON.

The interview also covers his postings, some career highlights, but also the effects on his mental health from his chosen career. It also includes what’s next for Nasmith as he transitions back to civilian life.
