The construction on a wastewater lagoon on Six Nations is on schedule, according to the community's Public Works.

At a general finance meeting on Nov. 7, Director of Public Works Michael Montour provided an update to Six Nations Elected Council on the Green Stream for Wastewater Foreman Construction Lagoon Project. The project was for a twinning of the Forcemain on Fourth Line to the lagoon which helps during heavy rain and snow melt periods to allow the system to remain efficient.

The project was awarded to Aecon-Six Nations Joint Venture for just over $382,000.

Montour reported that things had been progressing very well and that the work was almost complete.
