On September 21, 2020, Premier John Horgan surprised many by calling a snap election in British Columbia.

The provincial election will be held on October 24, 2020, a mere 33 days from now. As candidates scramble to collect the necessary documentation and hit the campaign trail, the public is also getting a crash course on provincial politics and how to exercise their right to vote. We spoke with UNBC lecturer Jason Morris to get the lay of the land as we begin our coverage of the two electoral districts that bisect Prince George and the north central region of BC.
