On May 26, Prince Edward County received a staff report that recommended a provisional partnership with Uride, a ride sharing company. This included a $50,000 subsidy for the venture funded by the provincial Tourism Relief Fund.

As well, the staff report called for a $5 across-the-board increase for county taxi fares but this brought questions from the committee in regards to affordability by low-income residents. Instead, Picton Couns. Kate MacNaughton and Phil St-Jean brought forward an amending motion which was passed, that called for a 10 per cent fare increase to help the ailing local taxi industry while also instructing staff to explore new fare adjustments in the face of rising taxi operational costs.
