On March 23, the Pontiac Tourism Association (PTA) held their annual general meeting at the Pine Lodge in Bristol. The meeting featured the launch of the group’s new video called “In It Together, ” which features local businesses teaming up to get through the pandemic. The video features local brewery Brauwerk Hoffman and their collaboration with local hops producer Houblon Grand Calumet and beekeeper Ken Derouin of Freshwater Honey.
PTA President Robin Judd said that one of the main projects that they had been working on over the past year was their Lake2Plate video series, which was released in partnership with Tourisme Pontiac and Blue Fish Canada.
Another accomplishment over the past year was their new brand image “Explore Pontiac.” Judd explained that they had been working on revamping their image and looking for more online avenues for marketing.
Judd added that this year they would be restarting paid memberships, which was something that they had decided was necessary to keep up with day-to-day expenses.
Following the meeting, attendees were invited to stay for a presentation put on by SADC Pontiac on how to make the most of Google analytics.
