The newly created Pontiac North Fire Department, which merged the crews from Thorne and Otter Lake, is seeking help from local resident to design their new logo, with a grand prize of two weekend passes to this year’s Shawville Fair.

Firefighter Caroline Gagné explained that since the two departments officially merged earlier this year, they were looking for a new logo that represented both municipalities.

Registration is only open to residents of Thorne or Otter Lake. Submissions, along with the designer’s name, age, address and phone number can be sent to olfdstation5@gmail.com or otterlakefd@outlook.com. The deadline for submissions is Aug. 22.
