Among the many social and environmental justice causes being championed lately, one Fraser Valley activist believes watercourses deserve more attention. Lynn Perrin spoke with CIVL on the importance of watercourses and how they can affect aquatic life. Perrin says water streams are not only good for the soil, they are also essential to salmon—protecting these streams is vital for salmon. Perrin has taken action by forming a group along with neighbours called the "West Creek Reservation Group" that protects the headwaters of the West Creek.
