The Nascar's Pinty's Series made a pit stop at Six Nations Ohsweken Speedway for its Speedweek event.
Ohsweken Speedway General Manager Clinton Geoffery spoke to Deya Miller, saying "We've got some of the best racer's in North America in the sprint cars and Nascar Pinty's Series so even if you come here weekly and check out the sprint cars you really want to get out here and check out these Nascar's. It's a different look, they don't normally race with us but its Canada's best touring series and their here on the dirt".
The Nascar Series started off earlier this week on Monday with an opening ceremony at the Ohsweken Speedway at 1987 Chiefswood Rd. in Ohsweken. It was followed by a performance from local Six Nations artist Jace Martin at 7pm EST.
The races began promptly at 7:40pm EST with the Nascar Pinty's Series qualifying heats followed by the AST Sprints and 360 Sprints for the Sit N Bull Shootout "A" Mains.
Racers lined up for the main event and streamed live on FloRacing.com for the first ever Freshstone Dirt Classic. The winner of the first ever 100 laps on the dirt at the Ohsweken Speedway was #2 car Nascar Veteran Ken Schrader from Fenton, Missouri.
The Nascar Pinty’s series was scheduled to continue on Tuesday night however do the weather it was postponed until Wednesday Aug 16th.
