Funding and organizational restructuring remains a challenge for Theatre North West in Prince George. Despite this, the new season has started with new energy with its newest production.

Bradley Charles, Artistic Associate at Theatre North West  breaks down the challenges faced by a northern outpost of performance art, and the relief that they've had an early success in the season.

The Mousetrap, an Agatha Christie mystery is the first play of the new fall season and enjoys surprising success, resulting in an extension of its run.

Not every twist of the theater's journey is a happy one, as the most riveting challenges of the past few years haunt them, and many in the entertainment industry, still.

There are still some challenges according to Charles. However, he can see a positive side as he reflects that restructuring their organization and staff roles, "has made us a little more limber in the face of change."

Funding remains a challenge, but there is also hope that this season will be the one that turns the non-profit's fortitude into fortune.
