One organization is encouraging people to get out and vote in the Fraser Valley.  Kim Mallory, the executive director of Chilliwack citizens for change (a nonprofit agency) says the reason her organization was started was because they thought progressives felt outnumbered in the Fraser Valley.  The first project Chilliwack citizens for change took part in was to mobilize progressive thinking individuals to vote in the municipal election in Chilliwack. She says that she does not want progressives to sit at home and think that their vote does not count. Mallory said that Chilliwack citizens for change had some successes getting progressives elected to the school board in Chilliwack. She says that the new mayor is very open to new ideas posed by progressive individuals.
