The newly elected Six Nations councillor Greg Frazer was sworn in last night at the general council meeting.

CKRZ had the chance to speak briefly with Frazer during a session break and ask him what he hopes to bring to the table as a new councillor sitting at the table over the next year. He spoke about acting as a health advocate for the community and holding the federal government to account.

Frazer was elected in a by-election on Sept. 3 and beat out three other candidates, including his closest opponent Alaina VanEvery by a margin of 89 to 82 votes.

He will take on the position until the next general election in the fall 2023.
