MRC Pontiac launched a contest at the start of the month asking residents of the region why they chose to come to the area. The contest is part of the MRC’s territorial marketing strategy, launched back in Februrary, which centers around “14,000 reasons to choose the Pontiac”, a reference to the MRC’s 14,000 residents and 14,000 square kilometres of territory.
MRC communications advisor Colleen Jones explained that all would-be participants have to do is comment on the contest post on the MRC’s Facebook and Instagram pages with their reasons for choosing the region.
On April 1, two names will be selected at random to win either $500 worth of goods or experiences offered by Pontiac businesses.
