A delegation representing the Niagara Peninsula Aspiring Global Geopark (NPAGG) wants to establish a partnership with the Six Nations Elected Council (SNEC).

NPAGG volunteer board member Phil Davis attended the December 13th online meeting.

However, several councillors and the Elected Chief were not impressed.

Councillor Sherri-Lyn Hill pointedly asked why it took so long for them to make the presentation to Six Nations.

And Chief Mark Hill explained that they already have a similar project in the works.

Other questions raised included the impact on carbon credits and if the partnership would impact Six Nations land claims.

Chief Mark Hill said more due diligence was needed by Council and they would need to discuss it with the Lands and Resources Team.
