Memramcook-Tantramar MLA Megan Mitton was talking local governance reform in the provincial legislature last week.  On March 31, Mitton rose in question period to ask why the government had hired registered lobbyists as transition facilitators, including the facilitator for Entity 40, Chad Peters.

Environment and local government minister Daniel Allain responded to Mitton pointing to the public nature of the provincial lobbyist registry, where Peters is listed as an active lobbyist. Allain also made the argument that the government prioritized people with knowledge of the system.
