Mayor commends upstanding citizens with Civic Recognition Awards

During the final meeting of the 2018-2022 council term on Tuesday, Mayor Steve Ferguson awarded Civic Recognition Awards to Barry Davidson, Judy Kent, Adam Engel, and Christopher Moore for their laudable achievements and actions.

Barry Davidson was recognized for his role in spearheading the rehabilitation of the Millennium Trail, while Judy Kent was honoured for being inducted to the Canadian Sports Hall of Fame and creating sports opportunities for female, disabled, and Indigenous athletes.

Adam Engel and Christopher Moore were commended for their courageous and selfless acts of saving three drowning people at Sand Dune Beach in July 2019.
