Mansfield resident pleads guilty of 13 counts of acts of a sexual nature against minors

Lynn Bertrand, 67, of Mansfield, was convicted in June of 13 counts of acts of a sexual nature committed against minors, the events of which took place between 1994 and 2009 with 5 different victims.

Among the charges, Bertrand was accused of touching the body part of a child under the age of 14 with sexual intent, as well as for inviting, engaging or inciting a child under the age 16 years old to touch him, once again for sexual purposes.

Eleven counts were committed against victims who were under the age of 14 at the time, and two counts were committed against a victim who was then under the age of 16.

Bertrand pleaded guilty on all counts, therefore he will serve a total of 3 years in prison as well as be registered as a sex offender for the rest of his life.
