The grim news was shared by an environmental activist. Lynn Perrin, an environmental activist shared with CIVL some regrettable news regarding the change in the Fraser Valley. Perrin says, “ the letter that our environmental engineer had sent to a number of decisions makers has not had any impact yet”. She goes on to name a construction company responsible for building a 900-foot tunnel in the west creek when they were only supposed to build a 100-foot tunnel. As a result of the negligence of the construction company, salmon are unable to spawn in a cement tunnel forcing them to migrate elsewhere.
