Terrace's Ksan Society had a record breaking fundraising season for their local Coldest Night of the Year (CNOY) campaign.

Since 2017, Ksan Society has hosted the Terrace edition of the nation-wide campaign to fundraise for their extreme weather shelter services and to raise awareness for the city's vulnerable population.

This year's event was held on Feb. 25. Just two days before, the society had surpassed their $30,000 goal and reached $30,867 with 108 registrations. Now the society has raised a total of $37,259 and had 118 registered walkers, which Ksan Society Communications Specialist Vicky Serafini says is a new record.

Starting at a local foodbank The Garage on Saturday, attendees gathered for 2 and 5 kilometre walks around the George Little Park. Attendees were also offered a bowl of hot soup or chilli prepared by the Salvation Army.
