The Kootenay region is seeing "unprecedented" numbers in real estate market, according to the new Kootenay Association of Realtors.

Chuck Bennett, the new president of the Kootenay Association of Realtors, has been on the front lines of the local economy for years, a long time volunteer and a son of the city, raised here in Nelson.

He’s also the former regional publisher for Black Press and many of its community newspapers throughout the Kootenays.

Bennett spoke with Kootenay Co-op Radio’s Kootenay Morning show about some astounding real estate numbers, his reflections on the print business and running a family business.
