Over the weekend, over 100 protesters protesters gathered and marched around City Hall to show their support for Palestinians during the ongoing global conflict.

This is not the first rally to take place in Kingston for the cause, with demonstrations taking place both at City Hall and on Queen’s Campus throughout October. But this demonstration was the Kingston chapter of a global effort, with protests organized across the country on Saturday afternoon.

At least two dozen Canadian cities from coast to coast organized demonstrations on Saturday afternoon in a show of solidarity with Palestine. Beyond Canada, this demonstration was also part of an international day of action entitled the "100k March for Gaza." Kingstonians answered the call to organize a demonstration in support of specific demands, including an immediate ceasefire and lifting the siege on Gaza to allow for immediate aid.
