The Toronto International Festival of Authors is hosting an Indigenous Peoples Atlas of Canada event. The event will take place at the Harbour Front Centre on Sept. 30 from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.

TIFA has created this creative and educational event as a way to give children a sense of place when discussing indigenous peoples and history, according to organizers. The main feature is the large vibrant and colorful floor map that spans approximately 84 feet long by 50 feet wide. The map shows the locations of Indigenous communities, residential schools, reserves and much more.
