A local College offering a hybrid model for learning. Laurie Van Kleek, librarian at Summit Pacific College, spoke with CIVL on how Summit College is one of the few Post-secondary institutions in British Columbia offering a hybrid model of learning for students. All the students who chose to learn virtually receive their classes regardless of their location. He says that all their classes must be set up for online learning, so students have an option. Mr.Van Kleek says that for students who are doing in person learning, there is a set number of students that can be inside the building at one time. Mr.Van Kleek says like the University of British Columbia and many other universities, they are using the Canvas Platform for students to learn on.
