Hospice brings cold souls together with Candle Light Vigil

The Prince George Hospice Palliative Care Society will be hosting its annual Celebrate a Life Candle Lighting service online for the final time, returning to an in person service entirely next year.

The event will be held on Facebook Live tonight, Tuesday, at 6:30 p.m. As loneliness becomes amplified in the short days of the season, this event aims to provide community and understanding for those grieving the loss of loved ones.

The virtual space offers a supportive setting during the holiday season, acknowledging the ongoing relationships with those who have passed away. Executive Director Donna Flood shares that ritual can ground us in troubled times.
