Golden Knights’ Campese to bring Stanley Cup home to Nelson

The Stanley Cup is coming to Nelson on Sunday, Oct. 15. Nelson’s Bruno Campese, an amateur scout with the NHL champion Vegas Golden Knights is having his day with the Cup in his hometown.

Campese will spend the morning with friends and family and then will head to the Nelson & District Community Complex (NDCC) for a celebration from 12 - 2 PM. Everyone is welcome to attend and take pictures with the Stanley Cup. Campese will also speak to the crowd at 1 PM.

A former professional hockey player born and raised in Nelson, Campese has been a member of the Golden Knights staff since they became an organization in 2016. Prior to joining the Golden Knights, Campese spent more than a decade as a general manager and coach in junior hockey.

Campese joined CJLY to discuss his upcoming day with the Cup and other news surrounding professional and junior hockey.
