Gitxsan hereditary chiefs say sport fishing is banned in their territory, a huge area of the northwest.

Chief Gwiiyeehl Brian Williams and Stikine MLA and Minister of State for Lands and Natural Resource Operations and Stikine MLA Nathan Cullen discuss the latest issue.

Cullen believes the non-Indigenous fishing licenses will be recognized as negotiations continue between the Gitxsan fishers and hereditary chiefs and sports fishers using Gitxsan territory to fish.
