Since October 2021, Terrace's George Little House has experienced three break and enters.

March 2 saw the most recent break in, just six days before the heritage house's 17th annual Founder's Day celebration and three months after a Dec. 3 break-and-enter.

"I'm not going to let this person not allow me to celebrate Founder's Day," Debbie Letawski, manager of the heritage house said of the decision to go forward with the celebration.

Though this year's celebration was on a much smaller scale, attendees like George Little's descendants Linda Bee and Lynn Christiansen were dressed formally for the tea party on March 8.

Previously the home of George Little, one of the earliest residents of the city, the building is now a historical train stop for passengers of Via Rail.

Although the RCMP has not provided any details on the string of break-ins, Letawski feels they may be perpetrated by the same person as she felt she noticed similarities looking at security photos and videos.

Terrace RCMP has also not specified whether the Sonbada's Steakhouse break-in is related.
