Four new officers for the Six Nations of the Grand River Police Department

The Six Nations Police held their first badge ceremony since 2019 last night at the Gathering Place by the Grand, on Six Nations territory.

Four new officers were presented with their badges. The master of ceremonies was the new chief of police, Darren Montour, who took over the helm after the former chief Glenn Lickers resigned in 2019.

The four officers receiving their badges were Acting Serg. Ky Horn, Const. Quinn Powless, Const. Cody Johnson and Const. Lukas Montour.

Other dignitaries and speakers who attended the event last night included the Six Nations Elected Chief Mark Hill and the Six Nations Police Commission Chairperson Steve Williams.

The opening and closing of the event was given by Elder Norma Lickers.
