Six Nations musician and music promoter Jace Martin attended the Six Nations Elected council Political Liaison meeting on Monday June 19th with an idea to bring live music to the community.

Jace, along with his mother Arlene, took part in the virtual meeting to ask if they could use what was the old Salvation Army building location at 1573 Tuscarora Rd., now a Six Nations Elected Council property.

They requested to have several nights of entertainment from July 2nd to July 8th from about 7 to 8:30pm. each day.

The event will be associated with the Six Nations Community Youth Outreach which was founded by Arlene Martin in 2000 and has trained over 200 youth in the arts.

In a follow up interview with CKRZ FM, Jace Martin explained that the event will focus on Gospel music, saying it’s the one style of music not being heard in the community.

Council supported the motion and Martin hopes the event will grow in future years.
