The fifth annual car show will take place in the remote hamlet of Rapides-des-Joachims on July 9. The event is put on by the Downtown Life Committee and there will be free family-friendly activities from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Registration for the show is free (though donations are accepted) and will take place upon arrival. A barbeque will start at 11 a.m. and is free for children 12 and under. As Downtown Life Committee President Paul André Paquette explained, there will be plenty for everyone to do from afternoon until evening.
There will be numerous prizes for a variety of categories in the show, as well as a door prize and 50/50. Paquette said that everything would be taking place at the Swisha town hall, located at 48 rue de l’Église. The day will close out with live music from Ghys Mongeon and Night Ryders, and he reminded folks to pack their lawn chairs.
