The council of mayors of the MRC Pontiac is set to take place tonight (Feb. 3) at 6:30 p.m.

According to the agenda, the meeting is being held in order to consider the discussions around the Bioparc, the Biomass conversion center and the Biorefinery (there is a resolution on the agenda titled "Support for the Bio-Parc project").

MRC Pontiac Warden Jane Toller says she is using her veto to put this point back on the agenda. Toller, has already made known her reservations concerning the Bioparc project, while the mayor of L’Isle-aux-Allumettes, Winston Sunstrum, insists that the projects of the Bioparc and the Biomass conversion center remain a priority.

In order to comply with the directives issued by public health and the authorities, elected officials will participate in the session virtually by videoconference/telephone.

Audio and video recordings will be published following the session.
