Kairyn Potts, an Indigenous content creator from Paul Band First Nation and Alexis Nakota Sioux Nation, was recently named to TikTok’s 2022 Global Discover List.

Potts joins only one other Canadian to be named to the 50 person list featuring people across the globe who are "driving positive impact on TikTok and beyond." He also sits alone as the only Indigenous creator on the list.

He says he's very appreciative to be on the list, saying that "the nomination felt a little bigger than me."

Potts spent a lot of time building his social media empire using interests from his past and present. He combines his love for acting, writing, technology, beauty, comedy, fashion, and advocacy into one persona that his audience of over 292,000 followers hooked. He's amassed nearly 6 million total likes on TikTok as well.

Even with the success Potts has achieved, he's got bigger goals for 2023. He has plans to take the content he currently makes to the next level and to have people all around the world see what he's capable off, while still having fun on TikTok.
