Crews save home after late morning garage fire in Elora

Fire Crews were able to save a home after a late morning fire in Elora on Tuesday.

Centre Wellington Fire Rescue, Wellington County OPP and Guelph Wellington Paramedic Services were called in to a home on Mary Street just before 11 a.m. for a report of a garage fire. Deputy Fire Chief Jonathan Karn says when officials arrived, heavy smoke could be seen coming from the garage.

The homeowners were expected to be back in the home by the end of Tuesday. There were no injuries reported.

The fire appears accidental but is undetermined at this time.
