Conservative Party Leader Pierre Poilievre held multiple rallies in the Northwest yesterday, finishing a summer tour which had been put on hold by wildfires.

He began his day trip across the Northwest in Smithers before making his way to Terrace for a "Bring it Home" rally to close the day.

Hundreds of people gathered at the Yellowhead helicopters location on Frank Street, where Poilievre spoke about the issues and policies he feels are important to Canadians. He says his plan focuses on reduced bureaucracy, more housing, a drop or complete removal of carbon taxes, and making the streets safer for all. Poilievre adds that he plans to repair the current prosecution system, which consistently allows repeat offenders to be released on bail and thrown back on the streets, rather than facing prosecution.

He'll finish up his tour of northern BC with a stop in Kitimat today.
