Rates for motorists and truckers crossing the Confederation Bridge will remain unchanged in 2021.

The round-trip toll for a two-axle vehicle will still be $48.50 with a modulation of $8.5 for each additional axle.

The right-of-way for pedestrians and cyclists also remains the same.

Only motorcycle users will see their fees increased by 25 cents to a maximum of $19.50 cents.

The 35-year agreement between the federal government and the bridge operator, valid since 1997, allows for a maximum annual increase of 75 cents.

The initial cost for a crossing was $35.
