Prince George is getting ready for a deliciously sweet event next week.

Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Northern BC is launching their first annual Winter Warm Up on Jan, 27, where nine Prince George restaurants and cafes will be competing to see who can make the best hot chocolate in town. Next Tuesday, head over to these chocolatey locations to find your favourite cocoa beverages:

  • The Makerie Craft & Coffee Bar
  • Nancy Os'
  • Betulla Burning
  • White Spot
  • Montanas
  • Oakroom Grill
  • Browns Social House
  • Earls
  • Rockford Grill

If you like hot chocolate, and a good cause, make sure to make a pit stop at one (or all) of the participating locations to find the best hot chocolate you can. What could make this event sweeter? All proceeds from the event will be going towards supporting Big Brothers and Big Sisters programming.

Listen below to the interview with Community Development Coordinator of Big Brothers and Big Sisters Jane Gauthier on the impacts of child mentorship, the role of Big Brothers and Big Sisters in the community, and what goes into making the perfect hot cocoa.
