The Greater Kingston Chamber of Commerce hosted the 2023 Kingston Business Awards at the Isabel Bader Centre for the Performing Arts on May 18. This year marks the 27th occurrence of the annual event recognizing the achievements of Kingston’s business community. This event occurred shortly after the release of the first ever Kingston City Council Report Card, a document chronicling and evaluating city council's decisions regarding local businesses throughout the first quarter of 2023.

Nine awards were presented at the event and winners were decided by a volunteer committee of judges from other chambers of commerce across Canada.

Karen Cross, CEO of the Greater Kingston Chamber of Commerce, spoke about the chamber’s commitment to local businesses in the planning and outfit of the event.

“We've been working with many local businesses to bring this concept of life as we wanted the remarkable achievements of our business community to be celebrated in style,” said Cross. “These are Kingston's business awards. It was important to us that they were owned by businesses in our backyard. We are so proud to support local, and the collaboration we have seen across the Kingston business community preparing for this year's awards has been remarkable”

The next Kingston Business Awards will be held in spring of 2024 with more details to be released this winter.
