Candidates running for Chief of Assembly of First Nations meet with Six Nations Elected Council

Candidates running for Chief of Assembly of First Nations this December in Ottawa appeared at the Six Nations of the Grand River Elected Band Council (SNEC) political liaison meeting on Nov. 27.

The candidates came from across Turtle Island looking for support.  The political liaison meeting took place in the council chambers and was shared live on Six Nations of the Grand River Facebook page.

Presenters consisted of;

Dean Sayers --  Chief of Batchewana First Nation since 2003.

Craig Mackinaw --  served two-terms as chief and regional chief of Alberta.

Reginald Bellrose --runner up at the last AFN election.

Sheila North -- former Grand Chief of Manitoba Keewatinowi Okimakanak.

David Pratt --  currently serving his second term as the First Vice Chief of the Federation of Sovereign Indigenous Nations.

Cindy Woodhouse -- who is currently AFN regional Chief of Manitoba.
