For the past 28 years, Bent Arrow Traditional Healing Society has offered supports for Indigenous families and youth for Edmonton and the surrounding communities.
Vernon Boldick, promotions and communications coordinator at Bent Arrow, speaks on the many programs that they provide for the community.
One of the programs that Bent Arrow provides is the Human Centered Engagement and Liaison Program (HELP), that partners with the Edmonton police Service. Bent Arrow collaborates with the police to help point those in need to the right services for food and shelter.
Boldick says that Bent Arrow is now preparing for their four-day event called “Cultural Camp” that will run June 17-21.
Boldick explains the details of Bent Arrow’s new project that will break ground during the summer called the “Ceremonial Building.” Boldick hopes the construction project will be complete by September or October.
