BC Minister for Indigenous Relations & Reconciliation Murray Rankin spoke to CICK News to talk about Wet'suwet'en negotiations.

Rankin hopes $7.22 million from the province will help the hereditary chiefs unify the nation under a new constitution. This money was a provincial grant shared between the Wet'suwet'en and Lake Babine Nation.

The federal government has said they will be meeting with the Wet'suwet'en hereditary chiefs and Coastal GasLink representatives to discuss moving forward with the much-contested pipeline which is being built throughout Canada except (the only exception) on Wet'suwet'en land.

These conversations will be held this coming Fall 2021.
