The Basin Food and Buyers Expo (FABx) will be held in Creston on November 3rd and 4th. FABx is an event focused on connecting regional food producers and buyers within the Columbia Basin.

FABx is primarily funded by Columbia Basin Trust (CBT). Local food expert Shauna Fidler, who owns Design Farm in Slocan, was the lead organizer of this year’s event.

Fidler says, “it’s time for a reminder because a lot of local farms are struggling right now.”

2023 is the first year FABx is being held in Creston. Previous years it has been done in Invermere, Rossland, Cranbrook and even Zoom during the COVID19 pandemic.
