Arrest made in fatal hit and run

The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested an individual concerning the hit and run that left one person dead on Tuesday.

The fatal incident took place around 5 a.m. on Indian Line near Concession 2.

OPP Sergeant Ed Sanchuck provided the update via Facebook saying a 39-year-old has now been charged with failing to stop at an accident resulting in death.

Jermaine O’Raine Syblis is being held in custody and was scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on Jan. 6.
