Gathered again for a special meeting on Wednesday evening (February 24), the mayors of the MRC Pontiac attended presentations on the forestry industry from the mayor of L’Isle-aux-Allumettes, Winston Sunstrum and the director of land use planning and the environment, Jason Durand.

From the start of the meeting, the Warden of the MRC Pontiac, Jane Toller, asked elected officials to be respectful, otherwise she would intervene.

Mayor Sunstrum presented a scientific article, studies and reviewed the history of the bio-park.

After a few questions and discussions, nothing major was adopted during this extraordinary meeting apart from holding another meeting on the various forestry industry projects. That meeting on the forest industry will take place next April.
