In a press conference this morning, the Alberta government announced a $750,000 investment, over 3 years, going into the maintenance and upkeep of Fish Creek Provincial Park.

The money is going straight to The Friends of Fish Creek Provincial Park Society, an organization put together in 1992 to protect the natural beauty of Fish Creek while the rest of Calgary grew. The investment will allow them to help raise awareness of protecting the park, educate visitors about the nature around them, and do even more to make sure the park keeps well maintained.

The Alberta government invested $480,000 into Friends of Fish Creek Provincial Park Society in 2020 over 3 years to help park with maintenance and encourage more people to visit the area. This morning's investment of $750,000 is looking to do the same thing but bring it all to new heights.
