Accessible education means taking more time amidst pandemic

What changes the University of the Fraser Valley had to make so they can continue to help students with disabilities during the pandemic. Rebecca Wassef, the manager of UFV’s Centre for Accessibility services spoke with CIVL on how the pandemic has affected the UFV’s Centre for Accessibility services. Wassef says that they have been significantly affected. She says before the pandemic, they used to facilitate for students who had accommodations like using a reader. She says now that students are online, faculty has to manually extend the time for tests and exams.
