Celebrating 41 years, the International Children’s Festival of the Arts has returned to an in-person event after two years of the pandemic from June 2-5.
Andrea Gammon, festival coordinator for the event, talks about the kickoff in front of St. Albert Place.
With the event returning to an in person setting from a virtual environment the last two years, Gammon says it’s incredible to see the children smiling and enjoying the event once again.
There’s lots in store for this year’s festival, Gammon says there’s performances by Ivan Flett Memorial dancers. The performances include Métis Red River Jiggers who incorporate modern hip hop, along with other performers and plenty of activities for all children to choose from.
