Minister of Local Government Daniel Allain was in Sackville on Friday to meet with the representatives he appointed to the Entity 40 advisory committee.

Allain spoke briefly with reporters afterwards, and defended the process of local government reform which will see the town of Sackville and village of Dorchester amalgamated into a much larger municipality to be named shortly.

"It's not easy having these discussions," said Allain. "It's actually emotional...We're making decisions for the next 50 years."
