The Community Radio Fund of Canada produces Viewpoints, a 30 minute weekly news magazine aired on some 30 radio stations across Canada. Viewpoints provides an overview of what’s happening across the country, thanks to some 20 radio correspondents working for the Local Journalism Initiative.

On this edition of Viewpoints:
In British Columbia, the Blue Jay Lake Farm welcomes newcomers to rural life and at the same time, helps address the local housing shortage. Minimum wage is not enough to live decently in New Brunswick. Anti-poverty activists call for a living wage of $20 an hour. On Cortes Island the Community Health Association found its new Teen Szene coordinator. And a dying theatre comes back to life in Québec’s Pontiac region. Who would of guessed? The Pontiac Warden just couldn’t let it go.

With our journalists David Gordon Koch, Kate Maddigan, Greg Osoba, Caleb Nicherson and their guests. Producer and host Boris Chassagne. Viewpoints is produced by the Community Radio Fund of Canada.
