Tantramar or Beauséjour: Potential names for Entity 40 revealed

The days are numbered for use of the name "Entity 40" to describe the new amalgamated municipality being created by the province of New Brunswick this year. The advisory committee of local officials tasked with finding the new name has released their two top picks: Tantramar Township or Beausejour Township.

CHMA called up Dorchester Deputy Mayor Robert Corkerton to talk about the choices and why they were made, as well as which names didn't quite make the cut.

Corkerton stressed that the new name will serve as an umbrella name for the new municipality, and will not replace the existing names of communities throughout the region.
