The Community Radio Fund of Canada produces a new weekly radio series called Viewpoints, a 30 minute news magazine aired on 30 radio stations across Canada. Viewpoints provides an overview of what’s happening across the country, thanks to some 20 radio correspondents working for the Local Journalism Initiative in British Columbia, Ontario, Québec, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia.

On this fourth edition of Viewpoints:

The Western Literacy Council has a new executive Director. Greg Graham just loves his new job. The small Cortes Island Market celebrates its 30 years on the Island. Keeping customers happy seems to be the best recipe. We stay on Cortes where Hugh Barton believes he has the largest native Western Yew on the Island. He explains how he found the tree. And in Québec, the Pontiac region is doing more to attract the healthcare workers it lost.

With our journalists Caleb Nickerson, Ed Halverson, Greg Osoba, Kate Maddigan, and Erica Butler. Producer and host Boris Chassagne. Viewpoints is produced by the Community Radio Fund of Canada.
