The Community Radio Fund of Canada produces a new weekly radio series called Viewpoints, a 30 minute news magazine aired on 30 radio stations across Canada. Viewpoints provides an overview of what’s happening across the country, thanks to some 20 radio correspondents working for the Local Journalism Initiative in British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario, Québec, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia.

On this third edition of Viewpoints:

A teenager from Brooklyn Nova Scotia had his wish granted. And he takes his for a ride!  Pontiac country musician Eldon Ostrom recently released an album to celebrate 50 years in the music scene. With “Me & My Boys,” a two disc compilation featuring dozens of classic tunes and one song, with his son Sheldon who passed away. Lots of things going on Cortes Island off the BC coast where a rural mushroom business dreams big. And sometimes sports can bridge cultures. Indigenous youth are building a name for themselves on the rugby field".

With our journalists Ed Halverson, Caleb Nickerson, Greg Osoba, Pamela Haasen. Producer and host Boris Chassagne. Viewpoints is produced by the Community Radio Fund of Canada.
